I’m really into fitness. I want to get the best out of my workouts and get better every time, but at the same time, I like to keep my diet clean, natural and as unprocessed as possible. I’m definitely not a fan of unnecessary additives and preservatives. Guarana naturally contains caffeine, which is released more slowly and steadily into the bloodstream -this results in long-lasting energy (up to 6 hours) without jitters. The mix also contains maca, a powerful adaptogen that balances the hormonal system and increases energy levels. I was a big fan of maca before and was therefore happy to see that it was already included in the mix :)
HOW I USED IT The first time I tried the mix, I blended it into my morning smoothie with strawberries, banana and almond milk. It didn’t really affect the taste that much... it was nice and subtle. Since then I’ve been experimenting with different recipes, from oatmeal to chia pudding, the options are endless. My favorite way to use it is in smoothies (and smoothie bowls - because they’re just so much more fun to eat!) though because it’s so fast and easy and I’m a busy bee. DID IT WORK? I had a spinning class scheduled this day and holy moly - I felt invincible! I’ve never been this good and I had SO much energy. I guess the name Energy Bomb does make sense, haha. It felt like I’ve somehow unlocked the potential within me, I was faster, added way more resistance than usually and it was just such a nice workout. I felt like a new person afterwards! Honestly though, the Energy Bomb is now a staple of mine and I always blend it into my smoothie before any rigorous exercise. I’m planning to run a half-marathon this year and will definitely mix it into my breakfast or even water to keep going during the race. I’ve never been a huge coffee-fan but my boyfriend has been using the mix as a substitute because he’s trying to quit coffee and he’s really pleased!
