Cooler weather calls for oatmeal! Heat your body from the inside out with this warming bowl of turmeric oatmeal.
I love oatmeal for breakfast (and even dinner)! Nothing warms me up faster than a bowl of hot oatmeal — especially golden or turmeric oatmeal made with our Golden Mellow mix.
What I love most about this turmeric oatmeal is the warming flavors of ginger and cinnamon, which are natural anti-inflammatories.
I also get the added bonus of ashwagandha, which naturally calms my nerves and puts me in a zen-like state.
There may not be any rainbows with this pot of gold, but I guarantee you’ll start your day feeling relaxed.
SERVES 1 | VEGAN, GLUTEN-FREE
- 1 tsp Golden Mellow mix
- 1½ cups water
- 1 cup oats
- 3 tbsp chopped dates
- 2 tbsp shredded coconut
- ½ banana, sliced
- Combine all of the ingredients (except the Golden Mellow mix) in a small pot.
- Cook over medium heat, stirring often to prevent burning or sticking.
- Remove from heat and stir in the Golden Mellow mix.
- Pour into a bowl and add toppings, if desired, and serve.
Tip: Add 2 tbsp Muscle Power mix for extra protein.
